To test the webshop you have to login to the Paypal developers account first. Hereafter make a test transaction. After the "confirm order" page you should be directed to the paypal page. After the payment you should be directed to the shop again.
The administration interface of the shop, should contain the order. If the order is not available, check the log files. These files are located in the "var/log" directory.
