As internet is rapidly increasing the level of data and peoples expectations of faster access to information, there is an increasing demand to corporations and organizations to structure, control and share their information. eZ publish is an open source web content management system, enabling you to structure, control and share your information both internally or externally with the web as your only tool.

Intranets, x-tranets, websites or e-commerce solutions are some of your possibilities with eZ publish. You will save money and increase your profits as your organization work and communicate more efficiently internally, but also externally with your customers, partners and community.

eZ publish content management system is made to benefit two main groups of people. The first group is people who want to publish content to the web and eZ publish makes this process as simple as possible. The other group is the web application developers. They can use eZ publish as a framework to create dynamic web applications. The eZ publish framework is comprehensive and you can choose whether to use the entire package or only different parts of it. E.g. you can just use the XML parser or SOAP communication library. Another possibility is to build a site on top of eZ publish doing only template customisation. No programming is necessary to set up a web page like ez.no; only template changes and configuration are needed. How to do this is well documented in the sdk.

Using eZ publish you will quickly be able to build dynamic sites which are easy to use and extend. Since eZ publish is licenced under the GPL open source licence and the eZ publish professional licence it is possible to create everything from small personal sites to large enterprise web applications.
