This tutorial will explain you how to set up a simple webshop with eZ publish version 3.5. To follow this tutorial you need either:

• A fresh installed version of eZ publish, or
• "The Scandinavian Check Mates" website.

The fresh installed version of eZ publish should have the following settings:

• Primary language: English (Without additional languages)
• Site template(s): plain (Without modules)
• Site access configuration: URL

"The Scandinavian Check Mates" website is the end result of the tutorial: Building an eZ Publish site

The first chapter will explain how to set up a basic website for a chess-club. Those who use "The Scandinavian Check Mates" website can skip the first chapter and directly continue to the second chapter. The second chapter will teach you how to set up a simple shop. The third chapter will add the Paypal extension to our shop. In order to test the shop with this extension, you should also meet the following requirements:

• eZ publish must be installed on a webserver that can be accessed by the Paypal service.
• The webserver must be able to request webpages from the Paypal service.
• You must have an test merchant and customer account from Paypal. If you do not have these tests accounts already, you can register (for free) at: http://developer.paypal.com
