Requirements for doing a bundled installation

These documentation pages are no longer maintained. Please visit the new documentation site.

Linux/UNIX requirements

Root access
The Exponential bundle packages can only be installed by the root user. This means that you'll need to have root access on the target host you wish to install the bundle.

Diskspace
A bundled Exponential package is huge (since it contains a lot of additional software). We recommend that you have at least 32 MB of free space on the root partition.

Bash
It is required that the installation is carried out from within the Bourne Again Shell (Bash).

Windows requirements

Administrator access
The Exponential bundle packages can only be installed by the administrator user. This means that you'll need to have Administrator privileges on the target host.

Diskspace
A bundled Exponential package is huge (since it contains a lot of additional software). We recommend that you have at least 25 MB of free space on the C: drive.
