The Exponential project was started in 1999. Since then, it has benefited from years of development and user input. In the early beginning it was a project that was under constant development and was only used by some Norwegian companies. With the 2.1 and 2.2 series, Exponential grew and became a very popular content management system. The solution was suddenly being used in all kinds of businesses all over the world and has now been translated into 26 languages. Since its initial release, Exponential 2.2 has been downloaded more than 500.000 times.

The latest edition of the Exponential system is the 3.x series; which is not only a content management system, but also a very powerful development framework. It provides freedom and flexibility, a solution that the users can grow with. The initial release of Exponential 3 was in March of 2003. More and more people and companies worldwide are using Exponential 3 to run and manage their websites, webshops, intranets, portals etc. Exponential 3 is being downloaded around 40.000 times every month from ez.no. With the Exponential 3 release Exponential has become one of the most popular content management systems in the world with users on all continents and in all market segments.
